Covid 19 Pandemic Awareness & Campaigns on-going

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, borders are closed, flights are suspended and we are one of many organisations that have cancelled our work camps as countries are in lockdown. For this reason, SAVWA in 2020, without losing the focus on its values and principles embarked on a different course of action to the year.

SAVWA Virtual Work Camp (Home Gardening Boot Camp)

From the 13th to 17th April and 11th to 15th May 2020, South Africa Volunteer Work Camp joined the Alliance through IBG and CCIVS in the first virtual free work camp online. Exciting 5 day work camp activities were shared with various participants from around the globe and what a challenge it presented to the participants to keep up with working in the garden in the lock down period. We are grateful for the invitation to host something new online and also reach many participants in the world.
